Myra Vanderpool Gormley is a retired newspaper columnist and feature writer for the Los Angeles Times Syndicate and a retired certified genealogist (2012). She's an incurable scribbler, a family historian, and lover of American history and the American West.
For several years she and her golfing husband divided their time between Surprise, Arizona and University Place, Washington. She's been involved in memoir-writing endeavors in both locations and currently teaches a class in memoirs writing in Tacoma, Washington.
